Starting a restaurant was never just about business—it was about family, tradition, and community. In 2002, after years of running a kitchen at a local Mexican restaurant, I decided it was time to build something of my own. That’s when Freedom Burrito was born. Located at 5239 Stevens Creek Blvd, Santa Clara, CA, we set out to do things differently, focusing on fresh ingredients, time-honored cooking methods, and giving customers the freedom to customize their meals.

In a time when most places had fixed menus, we made customization a key part of the experience.

What makes Freedom Burrito stand out? We still do things the traditional way. Our homemade corn tortillas are made fresh daily, something you won’t find at just any taqueria. We prepare real carnitas, chile verde, barbacoa de res, menudo, and more with care and quality. Nothing is rushed, and every dish reflects the heart of authentic Mexican cooking.
